20th Century Makeover
20th Century Fox has fun with their branding for certain films as does Warner Brothers and some other studios. They wanted the ID produced for a few films which would take on a dark, urban motif. The look had to bridge a lot of looks. They wanted it dark and sophisticated without resorting to default crime ridden grittiness.
It wasn’t supposed to be Noir but wasn’t supposed to be an explicit Marvel city fight scene. It also couldn’t be geographic, nor really offer a nod to any previous film. In the end they gave us no assets. Nothing. We had to re-create the camera move and the model. We feel we did pretty well and they ran it for a few years.
